Southwest Good Samaritan Ministries

Mission Trip

During spring break each year, a group of youth and adults heads to the Rio Grand Valley in Texas to work with our sister ministry – Southwest Good Samaritan Ministries.  This group is a work group that usually does some sort of a construction project.  We have helped to build various buildings for this ministry and are celebrating our 20th year of this outreach!

Mike’s Kids

This ministry is held during December for the Christmas season.  We use banana boxes to gather gently used or new toys for kids along with clothing, beans , rice, and other items.  These boxes are delivered to those in need in the Valley and Mexico and is part of the Southwest Good Samaritan Ministries.  This ministry is named after Mike Slaight who saw a need and began with a few boxes and has grown over the years.  See their website for more details
