We offer contemporary music during our 9:00 am Contemporary Worship featuring various singers and a contemporary band. Traditional worship is enhanced with a rich tradition of music including congregational hymns, a full choir and organ music played on a 25-rank Ross King pipe organ.
The chancel choir provides music during the traditional worship. Rehearsals are held Wednesday evenings from 7:30 – 9pm in the choir room located behind the sanctuary in the main building. Any adult or youth who loves to sing is welcome to join us.
The adult bell choir provides special music at various times throughout the year. Rehearsals are held Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm. If you can count, you can likely play the bells! Anyone is welcome to join us. Bell Choir meets in the Sanctuary for practice.
Youth Bell Choir
All interested youth (grades 6-12) are invited to be a part of the Youth Bell Choir. This ensemble rehearses from 5:15-6pm on Wednesday evenings in conjunction with youth ministries. Karla Chunn, bell soloist and 20 year bell ringer leads this fun group.
A Fine Arts Camp offered for a week in June is a camp for brass instruments. Steve Stark leads this ministry and it is open for any youth who desire to develop and learn more about brass instruments in a Christ-centered setting. Steve is a trumpet instructor at McKinney ISD.
This is a choir for kids in 1st thru 6th grade. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays during Block from 5:15 – 6:00pm. Each week is spent learning to sing and develop choral skills. The choir provides special music for worship on a regular basis and performs musicals periodically. Cindy Dixon, a choral director with 20 years experience and with a degree in church music from TCU, directs this choir.
Music is a vital part of our regular worship. If you have a gift of music, please join us! For more information on music opportunities, contact our music minister Larry Neel.
