Good news! We are forgiven; we are loved; 
we are God’s children!

God has spoken this good news to us through Jesus of Nazareth. This good news is more than words; it is the way of living and being that we see in Jesus’ life. When people were in Jesus’ presence they came to believe that they were in God’s presence also.

Throughout his life, Jesus called people to be his disciples, assuring them that they would find God’s life if they followed him. The people of First Christian Church are dedicated to helping people enter the life of God as followers of Jesus. We believe that it is through Jesus that we most fully come to know God and the life of love, grace, and compassion, which God calls us to live. Living God’s life is transforming and life-giving, it is healing and forgiving, it is serving; there is not a better life and we touch this life through Jesus.

The people of First Christian Church call people to become disciples and followers of Jesus, believing that Jesus leads us to God and into the ways of God. Therefore, we believe that the good news calls us to live out this vision.
