It’s almost time to gather for another “Congregation Conversation”! The first “CC” back in January was a fun evening of food and fellowship, of remembering and sharing and talking seriously together about the strengths and weaknesses, the resources and needs of First Christian Church McKinney. YOU developed very helpful lists of strengths and needs-- and your church leaders have made good use of those lists over the past several months. The focus of our first Congregation Conversation was on your proud past and the present.
Our second gathering will focus on the present and the future! We will again share a covered-dish supper at 5pm, in the Discipleship Center, followed by guided table talk about this church’s Values and Vision: What is most important to this congregation? What does FCC McKinney have to offer to our community and even our world? What do you want this church to look like, to become, over the next five years? And even more importantly, what does God want this church to be and do over the next 5 years? This will be a chance to dream, to hope, and again have some fun while doing so together. So please put Sunday evening, June 3 on your calendar, and plan to be present for our “Congregation Conversation 2.0” June 3, 5-7pm.
