On Wednesday, March 6, our youth will lead us in a service of introspection and repentance. Ash Wednesday is a tradition that has its roots in the Hebrew Bible, and as early as the third century Christians were using ashes and sackcloth as symbols or repentance. For over one thousand years, Christians the world over commemorated the beginning of the season of Lent by receiving the sign of the cross on their foreheads as a physical reminder of the brevity of life, and the need for us all to turn to God.
Our youth would love for you to join us this Ash Wednesday in the prayer garden at 6:30 PM for this meaningful and memorable worship service.
